I recently contracted with the State of CT as a digital content writer. I wrote business-specific SEO articles on starting a business, funding, insurance, and regulations. Additionally, I created content and designs in Figma for various pages. These included a landing page for business licenses and permits, and content style guide pages on how to write mobile-friendly content, SEO, accessibility, inclusivity, and how to keep editorial consistency.
This is a landing page I wrote and designed in Figma using design components to highlight key messaging. I worked with product owners to understand and execute on the business requirements.
Through my web design agency jbirdwebdesign.com, I have had the pleasure of building, writing, and designing sites for a wide range of clients. Each site was customized using the WIX platform.

I enhanced the Sabrina Style website by refining its design and functionality to align with the brand's identity, creating a more intuitive, user-friendly experience. I also integrated an appointment booking feature, making it easier for customers to connect with stylists and plan their visits, especially during prom season.
I updated the website for Anne M. Ragusa, LLC to clearly showcase the firm’s services and highlight their commitment to building long-term client relationships. The new design improves navigation and accessibility, ensuring prospective clients can easily learn about the firm’s expertise and mission.
I wrote and designed the Prince of Peace Pre-School website to reflect their nurturing, creative environment for young children and their families. The site highlights the school’s programs and services, ensuring visitors can easily understand the positive and supportive experience offered to both children and parents.
I designed and created a website for Armina Weitzer, a New York-based graphic designer specializing in visual identities, digital design, branding, logos, and marketing materials. The site is simplistic in design, featuring an intuitive navigation that lets people view her portfolio by her various specialties.
I designed and wrote the website for Elizabeth Cotter, a mental health advocate, therapist, and educator specializing in trauma-focused services for women, children, and young adults. The homepage highlights her services with schools, nonprofits, and other organizations that promote the well-being of clients, students, and staff.
I created a new website for The Balanced Life, blending yoga instruction and real estate services to reflect the business owner's personal philosophy. The design uses tranquil images ad an earthy color palate to reflect the connection between inner peace and physical surroundings.
This was a site overhaul for Preusser Research Group, Inc. (PRG). I changed the navigation, designed and built the pages, and wrote content to make it easier for clients to navigate and access information about PRG's team of experts and their specialized services.
